Brookwood Celebrates 20 Years in Business

October 29, 2015

Lower Gwynedd Township, PA – October 23, 2015 – Brookwood Media Arts, Inc. (Brookwood), a leading learning solutions provider, industry educator and technology solutions developer is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month.

In 1995, the Intel Pentium microprocessor coupled with Microsoft Windows 3.x operating system provided enough computing power to run multimedia software at a fraction of the cost of the Apple Macintosh. Additionally, the World Wide Web was beginning to gain traction in corporate America as a powerful tool for marketing and disseminating information. This combination and advancements in technology opened the door for Brookwood.

With the vision of providing multimedia and training services, Les Seskin and Rob Seskin set out with great determination to build a business to offer high quality multimedia design and development services with the added benefit of educating their clients on best practices and tools used in development. To execute on their plan, Rob and Les incorporated Brookwood in 1995 and aligned with Macromedia Inc. (acquired by Adobe, Inc. in 2005), as a value-added integration and training partner. At that time Macromedia was best known for Macromedia Director, the tool of choice for developing multimedia, and Authorware, a leading tool for developing computer-based training. Brookwood immediately became certified as a Macromedia Authorized Training Provider enabling the company to not only design and develop multimedia presentations, kiosks, and interactive learning, but also set up a school to train customers so they can do it themselves.

In the late 1990’s as the internet became more commonplace in the business community, Macromedia expanded its footprint to include several leading web/eLearning technologies like Dreamweaver, Flash, Captivate, ColdFusion and Connect. This enabled Brookwood to expand and position themselves as a web/eLearning solutions and training provider with the slogan- “Connecting People with Knowledge.”

Today, Brookwood continues to provide custom eLearning, web, and mobile solutions for any size business (fortune 100 to cutting edge entrepreneurs) as well as federal and local governments. Their customer base exceeds 1500 clients throughout the US and expanded solutions include all aspects of eLearning, virtual training and support services, web applications and customer portals, and mobile applications. Brookwood is proud to have developed two web-based applications that have patents and one application with its patent pending.

During the course of two decades, Brookwood was awarded the #1 web design firm by the Philadelphia Business Journal, achieved three Philly Gold awards for excellence in design, winner of the Philly 100 for fastest growing companies, and Rob Seskin, co-founder, President and CEO of Brookwood was recognized as one of the “40 Under Forty”, the region’s most accomplished young professionals who are proven performers in both their industry and their community. When asked about the success and longevity of Brookwood, Rob states “I am fortunate to be part of such a great organization. Our 20 years is a testament to everyone involved- our loyal and dedicated employees, our partners, and amazing customers. I appreciate everyone’s hard work and look forward to more great achievements and growth.”

Brookwood intends to continue to deliver its diversified solutions with a focus on exceptional quality, at an affordable price, with outstanding customer service. For more information, please visit www.brookwood.com.
