Data Bases
Brookwood has expertise in key RDBMS products such as Oracle and PostgreSQL databases among others. For those not familiar with PostgreSQL, it evolved from the Ingres project at University of California, Berkeley. It is an open source database with a free license and has comparable functionality to Oracle. It has also won many awards in the open source community.
Our database experts have experience designing both transaction based (OLTP) and analytical based (OLAP) databases. In a recent project we developed a methodology for storing the pre-calculated data series for account performance history charts to achieve excellent response times for a client.

PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL is a powerful, open source relational database system. It has more than 15 years of active development and a proven architecture that has earned it a strong reputation for reliability, data integrity, and correctness.
