The
Need
The
world's largest producer of air cooled
gasoline engines for outdoor power equipment
needed a multifunctional sales tool to
serve as both a selling tool for sales
associates and an internal training application
for educating their sales force. The
company designs, manufactures, markets
and services these products for original
equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide.
Implementing this type of sales tool
would enhance and standardize staff knowledge,
as well as substantially reduce the training
budget long term.
The Solution
Brookwood combined their development expertise
with Macromedia Flash to create this vivid and
dynamic tool. Brookwood's goal for this project
was to develop interactive elements that would
make the technical content easy to access and
comprehend. Lightweight elements, which include animated graphs, interactive
charts, and video playback were designed to be reusable. As a result,
these learning modules, which are bundled into the sales CD ROM, can easily
be dropped into the company's website and intranet. This CD ROM is helping
to educate sales staff and promote the new engine line world wide.
