Helping To Educate 40,000 Employees in 3
Months
The Need
Brookwood Media Arts was approached, by one
of the largest publicly owned employee benefits
organizations in the United States, to develop
Web-based training. The Company had an immediate
need educate 40,000 employees in only a few
months.
The Solution
Brookwood Media Arts effectively used WBT
strategies to create applications which include
software simulators, narration, animation,
interactive glossary, assessment questions,
LMS interoperability, AICC-compliant content,
and book-marking capability. The Company launched
the program from their existing learning management
system (LMS), where students can access specific
learning objects and drive directly to any
subtopic. The Company's programs include a
great deal of "media rich" software simulations
that demonstrate the software skills in short
easy-to-understand lessons. By clicking a "Show
Me" button, students can watch each lesson
and get back to the application to apply that
skill. This type of instructional design supports
training on-demand when students have a specific
need.
The Key Advantages
- Assessment questions are tracked
with correct/incorrect feedback
- Subtopics are bookmarked via
the Main Menu after completion
- Interactive Help is accessible
from any page
- WBT streams effectively to
slower connections
- Course adheres to AICC-compliancy
standards
