The Need
Novo Nordisk is a world leader in diabetes
care with the broadest diabetes product portfolio
in the industry, including the most advanced
products within the area of insulin delivery
systems. In addition, Novo Nordisk has a leading
position in areas such as haemostasis management,
growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement
therapy. Novo Nordisk needed a development
partner to help administer training documents
and to facilitate testing to track the users'
results. The new web site had to incorporate
previous training materials, provide real-time
reporting, and be scalable for future growth.

The Solution
Brookwood developed a web site that enables
Novo Nordisk employees access to educational
information on their product portfolio, the
diabetes disease state and the company's Standard
Operating Procedures. Diabetes Sales Operations
and Managed Care & Government personnel
are able to only access the Standard Operating
Procedures relevant to their positions. An
extranet site was provided to the client to
access the site throughout development to facilitate
the process. The sites functionality includes
tracking when documents, web casts, and tests
are viewed, generating tests with random questions
taken from a pool, and detailed reporting of
tests and user history. Administrators have
total control of the site's content. Via a
secure website, admin users add new documents,
assign viewing permissions, create new tests,
maintain user names and passwords, and control
the appearance. Maintaining the site requires
no knowledge of complex web development coding
or web design experience. The entire project
was delivered on time and within budget.
