Inglis Foundation provides programs and services designed to enable people with physical disabilities to enjoy life with the greatest amount of independence and mobility. Founded in 1877, Inglis provides services including an adult day program, affordable wheelchair-accessible housing, care management, community employment, specialty nursing care and the Drink-Aide® adaptive water bottle.
Inglis was in need of a dynamic and engaging site design to convey their image and message to the community. The site needed to be a go to resource for all information relating to history, services, events and more at Inglis.
The Brookwood Solution
Brookwood’s graphic design team built a site that combines intuitive navigation with Inglis’ mission and message. A bold, green navigation bar links the user to News and Events, Volunteer Information, Career Opportunities, Organization History and more. A Donate Now link offers a secure online form to make a financial contribution by credit card to Inglis. The Inglis disability resource center contains a list of related websites by category. The entire site was designed for optimal performance on 6.0 browsers and higher; sized for 800x600 minimum screen resolution; and designed to employ minimum bandwidth for speedy download of text and images.
In addition the site features a hidden, password protected portal for board members to access. Among the many features of this portal, board members can view a color coded calendar by month or year which includes board meetings, committee meetings, Inglis Foundation events and Inglis resident events. Board members can also upload notes that pertain to a meeting, view ethics and compliance materials, and view a list of key staff contact information. An archive of Press releases can also be obtained in HTML and PDF format. All of these features, created by Brookwood’s team of graphic design and internet marketing experts, resulted in a successful website for Inglis. A customized eLearning Best Practice Guide, and a Video Support Library provide an ongoing resource for CPG to be self-sufficient in their future eLearning initiatives and to make full use of Brookwood’s eLearning capabilities.
